"Adult Learners Create 'Explosion of Hope,'" Juniata News, September 1, 2009
Community Learning Center graduate and former board member Mary Anderson served as president of Community College of Philadelphia's Student Government Association and was one of three commencement speakers, selected from more than 1,700 graduates. She has a full scholarship to pursue a B.S. in Ed. at West Chester University. Mary was honored with a citation from Philadelphia's City Council for winning national recognition from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

"Congratulations to the 2008-2009 Student Government Association Newly Elected Officers," The Student Vanguard, March 31, 2008		 Celinette Olmo, who attended Community Learning Center in 2006-2007, was one of ten Outstanding Adult Learners selected from throughout the state by the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Bureau of Adult Basic and Literacy Education for 2008. Celinette and her four daughters attended the awards ceremony in Harrisburg on May 6, 2008.

Jose Marrero, a CLC student who earned his GED in 2008, was one of nine Outstanding Adult Learners chosen by the Bureau of ABLE from across Pennsylvania for 2009. Jose and his sons attended the awards celebration in Harrisburg on May 5, 2009.
