| We are currently
seeking an adjunct Adult Basic Education/General Educational
Development (ABE/GED) teacher. Responsibilities • Teach reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science to adults seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge and/or pass all five parts of the General Educational Development (GED) examination • Maintain accurate and timely attendance, assessment, goal, and other records • Prepare and maintain lesson plans • Develop learner-centered curriculum • Attend professional meetings Qualifications • Minimum of a bachelor's degree • Training and experience in teaching, preferably adults • Strong base of general knowledge • Excellent organizational, writing, and computer skills • Creativity • Initiative • Flexibility • Positive attitude • Ability to work well with diverse population.
